Terms of Use for Customers
Detailero connects car owners with detailing studios. It does not provide detailing itself – the contract is concluded between you and the studio. These terms describe what you can and cannot expect from us.
Effective from 14 October 2026

1. Basic provisions
Detailero s.r.o., Company ID (IČO) 29589428, VAT ID (DIČ) CZ29589428, with its registered office at Uralská 689/7, Bubeneč, 160 00 Praha 6, registered in the Commercial Register (obchodní rejstřík) maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague (Městský soud v Praze), Section C, Insert 449023 (hereinafter “Detailero”). Contact phone +420 725 007 632, e-mail info@detailero.com.
These terms govern the use of the customer part of the Detailero service on the website and in the customer mobile app by persons who search for detailing studios, manage vehicles, send inquiries, follow a vehicle's history or publish reviews (the “User”).
By using the service or creating an account, the User confirms that they have read these terms. An account may be created by a person over 16 years of age. A younger person may use the service only with the consent of their legal guardian.
2. Nature of the service
Detailero operates a catalog and map of detailing studios, a customer account, a vehicle garage, an inquiry system, reviews and a global history of selected services kept by VIN.
Detailero itself does not provide detailing services. A contract for cleaning, protection, repair or other care of a vehicle is concluded exclusively between the User and the chosen studio. Detailero does not set the price, date or content of the job, does not accept payment for detailing and is not a party to a complaint or dispute arising from the job.
3. Account and sign-in
The User may register with an e-mail and password or through a Google or Apple account. The User must provide truthful information, protect their sign-in credentials and promptly report any suspected misuse of the account.
Some features are available without an account, in particular browsing the map and profiles and sending an inquiry. An account is required in particular for the garage, the overview of inquiries, favorite studios and reviews.
The User may delete the account at any time in the settings. Detailero will delete the sign-in and the data of the customer account; data that a studio processes independently as part of its job may remain with the studio in accordance with its legal obligations. The global VIN history is retained without identifying the owner of the vehicle.
4. Inquiries
An inquiry is non-binding and can also be sent without an account. The User chooses a studio and may provide a name, e-mail, phone number, requested services, a message, a date and vehicle details. The data are passed only to the chosen studio, which becomes an independent controller in respect of them.
As a standard, the studio has fourteen days to respond. When this period lapses without a response, the inquiry expires; this does not oblige either party to conclude a contract. Further communication, the price quote and the conclusion of the job take place directly between the User and the studio.
The User must not use inquiries to send advertising, illegal content, automated messages or content harmful to third parties.
5. Garage and global VIN history
The User may add to their garage a vehicle that they lawfully use or of which they have a legitimate reason to keep track. Adding a vehicle to the garage does not constitute verification of ownership and does not establish an exclusive right to its VIN history.
The global VIN history is a shared record linked to the VIN. The recorded date of the service, the type of service and the studio that entered it can be viewed by a signed-in studio and by a User who has a vehicle with that VIN in their garage. The history does not show the owner's name, contact details or identity, the price, internal notes or the content of the studio's CRM.
The entry is made by the studio for a completed job, and the studio is responsible for its truthfulness. An incorrect or unauthorized entry can be reported to Detailero at support@detailero.com; Detailero may request supporting documents and correct, hide or remove the record.
Detailero does not guarantee the completeness of the VIN history or that all services on the vehicle were performed correctly. The absence of a record does not mean that no service was performed on the vehicle.
6. Reviews
A review may be written by a signed-in User whose verified e-mail was stated for a completed job in the studio's system. A review can be added within 30 days of the completion of the job, and no more than one for each job.
A review must be based on personal experience and must not contain false statements, threats, insults, discriminatory or illegal content, personal data of third parties, trade secrets, advertising or unrelated content.
The User may delete a review. The studio may report it. Detailero may examine, hide or remove content if it breaches the terms or legal regulations. If it hides or removes content or restricts its visibility, it will notify the author no later than at the time of the intervention and give a specific statement of reasons: what was restricted and to what extent, which facts the decision is based on, whether the content is illegal or breaches the terms (with reference to the relevant rule), whether the decision was automated and how the decision can be challenged, including by requesting an appeal. It will omit the statement of reasons only if it has no electronic contact for the author or if an order of a public authority prevents it.
By publishing a review, the User grants Detailero a non-exclusive, royalty-free and territorially unlimited authorization to display the review and adapt it technically for the purposes of operating the service, for the period of its publication.
7. Jobs, prices and complaints
The information on a studio's profile is material provided by the studio. The specific price, scope and date are confirmed by the studio. The User resolves complaints about the work, damage to the vehicle, payments and tax documents directly with the studio.
8. Prohibited conduct
- misuse of an account, another person's identity, a vehicle or a VIN;
- fake inquiries, reviews or attempts to influence ratings;
- scraping, circumventing limits, compromising security or automated overloading of the service;
- uploading content without the necessary rights or consents;
- using the service for illegal conduct.
9. Restriction and termination of the account
Detailero may remove specific content or temporarily restrict an account if this is necessary for reasons of security, a breach of the terms, the protection of third parties or a legal obligation. In the case of a serious or repeated breach, it may close the account. We act proportionately and give reasons for the decision in the same way as for reviews under Article 6.
10. Availability and liability
The service is provided with professional care, but without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, security interventions or supplier outages may cause temporary limitations. Detailero is not liable for the conduct of studios or for the quality of their services. This does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded in relation to a consumer.
11. Changes to the terms
We may change the terms because of a change in the service, in legal regulations or for security reasons. We will inform you of a material change reasonably in advance by e-mail or in the app. A change has no retroactive effect on a job already agreed with a studio.
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
The relationship with Detailero is governed by Czech law. This does not affect the mandatory rights of the consumer under the law of the country of their habitual residence, in particular in Slovakia. A consumer may use out-of-court dispute resolution at the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Central Inspectorate – ADR Department (Ústřední inspektorát – oddělení ADR), Gorazdova 1969/24, 120 00 Praha 2, e-mail adr@coi.gov.cz, coi.gov.cz/informace-o-adr. A consumer in Slovakia may turn to the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia), Central Inspectorate, Department for International Relations and Alternative Consumer Dispute Resolution (ústredný inšpektorát, odbor pre medzinárodné vzťahy a alternatívne riešenie spotrebiteľských sporov), Bajkalská 21/A, p. p. 29, 827 99 Bratislava 27, e-mail ars@soi.sk, www.soi.sk. Disputes arising from the detailing job itself are resolved with the studio.
13. Contact
Questions: info@detailero.com, phone +420 725 007 632. Technical support, content reports and corrections of VIN records: support@detailero.com.
14. The User's responsibility for data and content
The User is responsible for ensuring that the data they enter are true, accurate and up to date and that they are entitled to use them. In particular, the User must not pass off another person's vehicle as their own, misuse a VIN, the contact details or the identity of another person, or mislead a Studio. The User is responsible for the text of inquiries, reviews and other content they enter into the service, and for harm caused by their illegality or by an infringement of the rights of a third party.
Detailero does not routinely verify the substance of data provided by the User and is not obliged to check all user content in advance. However, if specific content is properly reported or Detailero otherwise becomes aware of its possible illegality, it may examine it and restrict it proportionately.
15. Digital service and consumer rights
The customer part is a digital service provided without monetary payment; however, the User provides the personal data necessary for the account and the requested features. Detailero will provide the service without undue delay after registration and, for the duration of the account, ensures its agreed characteristics and the necessary updates to the extent required by law.
The consumer's statutory rights arising from defects in the digital service, the right to a remedy, to a reasonable discount or to terminate the contract cannot be limited by these terms. Defects in the customer digital service and related complaints can be raised at support@detailero.com. The User may terminate the contract at any time by deleting the account. The Information on Withdrawal is published separately.
16. Reporting illegal content and appeals
Illegal content, an interference with personality rights or copyright, a fake review or an unauthorized VIN entry can be reported using the form or at support@detailero.com. The report must identify the content, explain the reason, state the electronic location and contain contact details and a good-faith confirmation of accuracy. Detailero will confirm receipt and communicate the decision if an electronic contact is known. Details are described in the Content, Review and VIN Rules .
A person affected by a restriction may request an internal appeal. Detailero assesses reports in a timely, impartial and proportionate manner; it may leave the content in place, hide it, remove it, or restrict its reach or the account. Manifestly unfounded or repeatedly abusive reports or content may lead to a temporary restriction.
17. Compensation for harm caused by the User
If Detailero is obliged to compensate a third party for harm solely as a result of demonstrably illegal conduct of the User or of content for which the User is responsible, it may claim compensation from the User to the extent permitted by legal regulations. This provision does not limit the consumer's statutory rights or Detailero's liability for its own conduct.
18. Definitions and interpretation
“Studio” means a business presented on the platform. “Content” includes texts, photos, reviews, replies, messages and VIN records. “Job” means a contract between the User and a Studio, even if the negotiations on it were initiated through Detailero. Headings are for orientation only. The invalidity of one part does not render the rest of the terms invalid.
19. License and intellectual property
Detailero's software, database structure, brand, graphics and own editorial content are protected. The User obtains only a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable authorization to use the customer part for its intended purpose. The User must not copy it, circumvent its security, extract the database or carry out reverse engineering, except to the extent expressly permitted by law.
For public Content, the User grants Detailero a non-exclusive, royalty-free license necessary for hosting, technical format adjustments, display, distribution in Detailero's interfaces and promotion of the relevant profile. The license does not include the sale of Content as a stand-alone work and ends upon removal of the Content, with the exception of backups, statutory retention and promotional materials already lawfully created.
20. External services and links
Google or Apple sign-in, maps, e-mail and push services and links to Studio websites are provided by third parties under their own terms. Detailero is not liable for their independent content or decisions; however, it is responsible for their proper selection and use to the extent that they act as its processors. We keep the list in the List of Subprocessors .
The map, place search and reviews from Google Maps are provided by the Google Maps Platform service. By using them, you agree to the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy. Reviews from Google Maps are the content of their authors and Detailero does not edit them.
21. Force majeure and planned changes
Detailero is not liable for a temporary impossibility of performance caused by an extraordinary, unforeseeable and insurmountable obstacle beyond its control, for example a large-scale infrastructure outage, an attack or a decision of an authority. However, it will take reasonable steps to mitigate the consequences. It may change or discontinue features, but must not thereby circumvent the consumer's statutory rights relating to the digital service.
22. Notices and entire agreement
Detailero may deliver legal notices to the account e-mail, in the app or on another durable medium. The User keeps their e-mail up to date. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the documents to which they expressly refer form the agreement on the customer service; the terms of a particular Studio relate to the Job and do not bind Detailero.
